When we met Skippy at 10 Wide Water in December 2024, he was worried. His floating dock, pier head, and walkway were all showing serious signs of wear — and he feared a full tear-out might be the only option.

After a thorough walk-through and structural inspection, we knew we could save the system — rebuilding it in place, piece by piece.

Here’s What We Did:

  • Floating Dock: Replaced aging pile guides and installed new aluminum lock-in brackets to secure the floaters. Reinforced the entire skeleton with fresh structural bracing. Topped it off with bright, durable PVC wood-grain decking for a clean, modern finish.

  • Gangway: Removed the old all-wood gangway and replaced it with a sleek, low-maintenance aluminum non-skid gangway featuring (4) easy-roll wheels for smooth operation and future servicing.

  • Pier Head: Stripped away the rotted and splintered boards. Rebuilt the underlying frame to be structurally sound, then installed PVC wood-grain decking for beauty and longevity.

  • Walkway: This section was in rough shape. We tore out every rotted plank and failing handrail. After reinforcing with new marine-grade lumber and stainless steel hardware, we laid down all-new PVC decking and custom handrails — creating a sturdy, beautiful path from land to dock.
